Fashion Jewelry has a New Host

02/09/12

For this introductory article, I'd like to talk about some of my ideas for the site, and then open it up to your questions, observations and ideas. First, I think it's essential that we stay on top of the latest fashion jewelry styles and trends. I plan to provide a quarterly fashion preview discussing my behind-the-scenes observations and predictions of which styles and themes are going to be hot in the coming season. I may also publish some mid-season follow up articles to check my predictions and identify any new trends that may be developing.

Second, I'd like to add some feature articles showcasing popular fashion jewelry designers. We’ll learn which designs and methods are attributable to each designer. I will also attempt to interview some designers directly. When this happens, I’ll call for your question ideas first through the newsletter. (Be sure to sign up if you haven’t already!)

Meanwhile, I’ll be busy developing some new link directories for the site. Tentatively, these will include directories of worthwhile jewelry retailers, fashion jewelry designers and artisans, and jewelry information sites. From these directories I will develop subdirectories to help you find the resources you're looking for in the least amount of time.

My weekly articles will likely lead to some additional link directories, and some may even spawn more specific article topics of their own. Here are some topics I plan to cover soon:

- Fruit Quartz
- Chandelier earrings
- “Italian charm” bracelets
- Inspirational jewelry
- Retro sterling silver
- The briolette
- Picture Frame Jewelry
- Body Jewelry
- Diamonds from Peanut Butter

Now that I’ve introduced you to my plans for the site, I need your feedback! Please email me with your comments and ideas. My goal is to make Fashion Jewelry on BellaOnline a fun and highly informative site with fresh content and interesting topics. Although I'm going to have a lot of fun hosting the site (smile), this site is really about you and what you're looking for in a fashion jewelry website. So lets get started!
